Getting married abroad on a beach so we know the colours we want are; white, silver & duck egg blue…

I think the silver should be used for the men’s cumberbunds or vests and neckties. It is very classy. You may be able to find these in a (subtly) patterned (almost embossed like) blue & silver design-check your local tuxedo rental store.

If your dress has silver, then your tiara should be silver, but the gemstones in it could be blue. Also, your garter could match with silver elastic instead of the traditional lace.

If you are getting married on a beach, I would assume there are some traditional items you won’t be needing. But for a reception, you could use silver platters (even the fake plastic ones from partysupermarket would work) and goblets with white pearly plates and blue napkins. Use clear plasticware so you don’t have too much color going on.

I would keep the blue out of the flowers because there aren’t that many varieties of flowers that are naturally blue and it may be hard to find. Use white roses or flowers and use blue satin ribbon for the bouquet streamers.

You could have your invitations or announcements printed on a silvery paper with blue print.

Best hotels in MYRTLE BEACH?

We are planning a beach wedding in Myrtle beach South Carolina. I’m trying very hard to find the best hotel for the best price. My fiance & I will be staying in a suite while the other guest in normal rooms. I will between 7-11 rooms.

because the beaches in myrtle beach are public areas, it is a little hard to find just the right spot to have a private wedding ceremony, but there are solutions.

my choice for what you want to do would be to use one of these two wedding chapels, which have agreements with private beaches to use their beach for weddings, and then to go to the serendipity inn for your reception if you don’t have more than around 30 guests…and also to book your stay there. the serendipity inn is a quaint bed and breakfast type place with each room and suite decorated differently and your party would just about fill the place up so that you could basically have it all to yourselves. they have a pool, but not a bunch of fancy amenities like meandoring rivers and 15 pools etc. like most of the other hotels have…but the place is very charming and the staff is friendly. for the wedding ceremony you can contact http://www.weddingchapelbythesea.com/ (they also have reception packages) or http://www.myrtlebeachweddingchapel.com/ either of these places will work with you to plan a beach wedding. you can expect to pay about 300 to 500 dollars for the beach ceremony depending upon what you want to include.

the serendipity inn only charges 89 in high season for their regular rooms and around 149 for their suites. in low season it is 55 and 74, so you cant beat the price. their wedding receptions for up to 30 people are either 500 dollars total or 700, depending upon which menu you choose.

the crown reef hotel also offers wedding packages. they are a beautiful hotel located right on the ocean, but i am not sure if they allow beach weddings. they do have a beachfront gazebo they use for weddings though. they offer several packages, the one that seems to fit your needs best is the treasure package which includes the ceremony, a nice dinner reception for up to 25 guests, one complimentary night’s stay at the hotel, and breakfast for 2 all for $1995. this does not include the rooms for your guests though and you would probably have to pay for an upgrade to a suite. http://www.crownreef.com/

I don’t know exactly what you are looking for. I’m not having a themed wedding but I got my invitations from http://www.weddingpaperdivas.com/ and I am so happy! They are great quality, they were “touched” by a real person. They do ones in solid colors or two tone, which would look very pretty. They are a little more expensive than some online retailers and when I first saw their page swore that I’d never pay that much (I’m cheap, lol) but in the end quality wins!

Invitations are a tough choice.
