Unique Bridal Shower Invitations – Tips For Sensational Wedding Shower Invites

It doesn’t matter if you’re the wedding shower planner guru or if this is your first time planning one, you know that bridal shower invitations are an important way to give guests the 411, or all the important information they need.

The Theme

Like wedding invitation ideas, there’s no shortage of themes for unique bridal shower invites. For a one-of-a-kind look, consider an invite printed on die-cut paper. Guests will be impressed when they open the envelope to find an invitation shaped like a bridesmaid’s dress, a wedding gown, or, yes, even lingerie.

One of the no-brainer ideas for bridal shower invitations is to incorporate the party theme. For example, if you’re planning an ice cream social, use an image of a cone or sundae. No matter what the theme, you don’t need to settle on fuddy-duddy designs that look like overdone wedding invitation ideas. Find ultra-modern and super-cute designs for images that range from disco balls to designer-looking handbags.

Colors are also a way to create tone-setting party invites. If the future bride is well-known for her love of purple, invite stationery in lavender or text in a flirty bright purple will let guests know exactly who the shower is for.

Add sparkle to your party invitations by using embellishments. Ribbons, charms, and elastic ties are common ways to jazz up an invite. For a festive touch, add confetti to the envelope. Imagine a shower guest opening a winter-themed invitation to find snowflake-shaped confetti.

You can also match the bridal shower invitations to the wedding invitation ideas. If the bride’s planning a chic beach affair, use shower invites that sport a more casual beach theme, such as flip flops or a sun towel. Is a formal red-themed wedding in the works? A bold red paper or a white invite trimmed in a red shade will tie the two events together.

The Message

If traditional wording is your style, look for suggested text that fits your needs. Online wedding specialists frequently list wording suggestions for a range of events, from wedding invitation ideas to shower ideas.

For unique bridal shower invitations the guests are sure to talk about, make like Shakespeare (or Seuss) and pen a poem. If verse isn’t your style, ask a literary-minded friend to help create an ultra-unique poem invite.

Of course, you already know to include the date, location and time on the bridal shower invitations, but there are other tidbits you may want to add. For example, remember to include any guidelines for themed shower. For example, if you’re hosting a lingerie event, the bridal shower invitations might include the bride-to-be’s size. Kitchen shower invitations might suggest a cooking-themed gift.

Wording for bridal shower invitations should also include whether guests should RSVP or send regrets only. RSVP means they should respond to you regardless of whether they’re attending or not. Regrets only means the guest should only respond if they cannot attend. The problem with regrets only is that some guests will invariably forget to notify you they can’t show up. As a result, you might plan a party for 30 guests but only have 20 of them actually attend.

The bridal shower invitation is the first impression guests will have of the event–with a little planning it’s super-easy to create a wedding shower invite that your guests will find memorable.

ABC’s Extreme Makeover Guest Stylist Michael O’Rourke Donates
Hair Styles Makeovers

With the popularity of makeovers these days, the Style for a
Cure Makeover event by Ron Paul Salon and Sexy Hair Concepts,
founded by Michael O’Rourke was a huge success. Anyone who made
a donation to the hospital during the month-long event this
summer had the opportunity to win one of three makeovers by ABC
“Extreme Makeover’s” guest stylist and “Stylist of the Year”
Michael O’Rourke.

Style for a Cure is a fundraising effort that allows stylists to
use their professional talents to raise money for the hospital.
Ron Paul Salon and Sexy Hair Concepts are the first to
participate in the Style for a Cure nationally.

All proceeds went to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. At St. Jude,
children who meet medical requirements are treated without
regard to a family’s ability to pay. Families never pay for
treatments that are not covered by insurance and families
without insurance are never asked to pay. So when you donate to
St. Jude (see http://www.stjude.org ) you are directly helping
children get treatment for catastrophic childhood diseases.

The three makeover winners received fabulous makeovers that
enhanced their facial features and style. See photos below.
Michael O’Rourke, the makeover master, first studies the person
to decide what drastic measures can be made for improvement. He
looks at the most enhancing features and the personality traits
of the person. Then he tries to go after these features by
exaggerating and/or enhancing them to bring out the best in the
person.

Michael O’Rourke is the founder of Sexy Hair Concepts, (see
website http://www.sexyhair.com ) a fast-growing hair care
products company. Sexy Hair is distributed in more than 60,000
licensed salons within the United States and is also distributed
in over 20 countries worldwide.

Sexy Hair puts high-quality products right into the hands of
celebrity hairstylists with a whole new styling philosophy.
Hollywood stylists include Gwyne Redner (“The O.C.”), Lisa Marie
Rosenberg (“Desperate Housewives”), Mary Guerrero (“Reba”), 2002
Emmy Award Winner Michael Moore (“Enterprise), Cynthia Romo
(Vanna White), Anthony Miner (“Charlie’s Angels 2″), Pauletta
Lewis-Irwin (“The Fast and the Furious 2″), Lucia Mace (“Pirates
of the Caribbean”) and Linda Arnold (“American Wedding- a.k.a.
American Pie 3″ with Jason Biggs and Alyson Hannigan and
“Confessions of a Dangerous Mind” with George Clooney, Julia
Roberts, Brad Pitt and Drew Barrymore).

Wedding on a penthouse balcony?

So hubby to be and I are planning our 1st wedding (bc of the economy we’re having a personal more intimate one March 19, 2010 and than a bigger extravagant one in 2012 possibly 2011 with the way things have picked up.). We came up with the idea of renting out a Penthouse with a nice backdrop view of anything (ie…. beach, gardens ::preferably beach:: etc…) and having our wedding on it. Like a mini ceremony (10 people max). Than enjoying our first 2 nights as Husband and wife in the Penthouse ;) Now, I have NO idea which penthouses have nice views and balconies. I’m in South Florida (North Miami Beach to be exact) and I don’t know which hotels or rental properties to look at. Anyone got any advice? Thank you in advance guys and have a wonderful day! :) <3

it sounds like a lovely idea to me! but it depends on your budget to where about we can suggest, i think somewhere like Hawaii always appealed to be or Mexico perhaps, but if your strapped for cash as you live in Florida maybe there would be the best idea,
this site looks good, check it out :)

hope this helps.

Beach Wedding Favors Ideas

Fun Wedding Favor Ideas

Have you started looking around for your wedding favors yet? The selection can be overwhelming. There are wedding favors available for every theme, idea, location and personal taste.

One thing you most likely want from your wedding favors is that they are not only practical but fun too. You want your guests to really be glad they’ve received this memento from you to remember your wedding day and how special it was for not only you ‘ but for them too.

The best way to guarantee your guests will look back fondly on your wedding day is to give them a fun, but practical wedding favor. Think of practical wedding favors as items that may be used in your guest’s houses as the occasion arises.

A few great examples of practical wedding favors are bottle stoppers, measuring spoons, coffee scoops and candles. Now, let’s add the fun factor to these same practical favors. If you’re having a beach themed wedding, beach ball wedding favors are sure to bring a smile to the faces of your guests. Imagine how cute those little beach balls will look perched on top wine bottles at this summers picnics and barbecues.

Ice cream scoops are fun just as they are. What could be more fun than a scoop of your favorite ice cream any day of the year? Having the ice cream scoop in the shape of a heart adds even more fun factor to this particular favor.

What about the coffee drinkers of the world? Are you a Starbucks fanatic? Then for your wedding favor you may want to choose a cute coffee scoop that may be used with either an Espresso Machine or coffee pot. This coffee favor is sure to be used just about daily in your guest’s homes. Coffee, not quite your thing but tea is? An adorable little tea infuser in the shape of a heart would be the perfect fun favor for your wedding.

Luggage tags are the perfect fun wedding favor idea. Just looking at a luggage tag allows you to daydream of that perfect vacation. Although your guests may not see this particular fun favor everyday like they would a coffee scoop, you can be sure they will put this cute little luggage tag favor right on their suitcase for future vacations and adventures.

Candle wedding favors are at the top of the list for fun. Think of the many wonderful candle themes available for your wedding. Having a nautical themed wedding in the Northeast? Choose a sailboat candle as your party favor. How about a Hawaiian Luau wedding reception? Then the flip flop candle favor is the fun choice for you.

Are you the princess of the ball at your wedding reception? There are many fun, fairytale party favors you should take a look at. How about a carriage candle favor that will remind your guests of the magical time they had with you on your wedding day. Another fun option for a fairytale wedding could be a teacup candle favor that is so adorable your guests will want to display it in their homes.

If you keep fun in mind when selecting your wedding favors, you are sure to choose a favor that your guests will love to take home with them. Happy Favor Hunting.

When attending a wedding, what is the best wedding favor you have ever received and why?

I am planning my wedding and haven’t found any really great ideas for favors. I don’t want the favor to be themed (i.e., honey for a countryside wedding, salt for beach wedding); I would rather just have something for the guest that everyone can enjoy and is really cool.

Honestly, the best favor I received was when the couple made a donation to the Fox Chase Cancer Center in our honor. It was a donation that was meaningful to them, and I’m sure almost everyone who attended. A favorite charity probably needs the donation more than we need our little bells or scoops or whatever! :)
