im getting married in 2 weeks 2day and my WHOLE wedding has only cost 3,000 pounds from food to the limos lol everything i no you may think its tacky but i got my dress of ebay from hong kong and paid 50.00 pounds and it was custom made so its like one of a kind its not been used it was made for me i looked at dresses in birmingham (were i live) and i seen the dress like mine and it was going for 800.00 pounds!!!

How to take good Photography portraits at the beach? HELP?

I was shooting a small wedding on the beach, sun was getting ready to set but every time i took a photo with 4.5 aperature and 100 ISO, the people would be dark, or if I used the fill flash (Canon T1i) the background would be way to white, but the people would be okay. I dont know if it was exposure or what, but what settings should I use? Esp while trying to get good day time photos and sunset as well.

You don’t mention what type of flash you’re using but if you’re shooting people outside hopefully it’s
1.not the built in flash and
2. it’s off of the camera.
Think of it as two separate exposures. Get the background exposure with aperture & shutter speed, then get the people exposed with flash power & proximity. Here is a great article on balancing ambient & fill manually.

How would you like to do your wedding ceremony/party ?

If I will marry one day I would like to do the ceremony on the beach. With families + a few real friends.
I would like that everyone comes without shoes and colourful nice dresses. I would like to put a lot of candle and a lot of colourful flowers all over the beach. I would like to wear a nice white, short sexy dress. And my partner in white too. I would like to serve fresh fish, lobster, conchmeat, shrimps and everything (fresh as well) from the sea.
And for the meatlovers some kebab and juicy baby backribs, I mean it have to be like a nice long table on the beach decorated with candles and flowers and fresh tropical fruits.
With all these foods on it and fresh vegetables + salads.
Another small table for my wedding cake , and chocolates and cookies. For music some nice cocktail music.
And to finish put some fireworks at the end of the party.

wow…that sounds really beautiful and I hope it comes true for u. As for me, my fiance and I are paying for our own things. We are having a nice wedding (with a wedding dress and tuxs). for the reception it is going to be one with hay…music…liquior and a bbq. it is us. We arent the whole fancy stuff. How can I pull off a beach wedding without a beach?

Soo… my fiance and I are in love with the beach and would love nothing more than to have a beach wedding. We’ve been there twice in the three years we’ve been together, and that’s where he proposed, so the beach theme has a lot of emotional significance to us. Problem is, we live in Kansas, a thousand miles from our beloved southern California beaches and a destination wedding is simply out of the question. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to pull off a wedding that makes my guests feel as though they are sitting beachfront? Obviously we don’t have a huge budget, but any and all ideas are welcome!

I’m not sure anything will really make them feel as if they are sitting beachfront, and trying to make it look like that could back fire and it could look cheesy. But I do love beach wedding themes (I’m from Miami and LOVE the beach), I do however feel as if keeping it simple is the key though. Your wedding colors should be ones that are similar to the beach (White, Light Turquoise, and Turquoise or Ivory, Coral, and Mocha).

Just be careful on how you put it all together, you want your wedding to still look elegant no matter what budget you may have.
