When my partner and I were deciding where to go on our wedding, we knew one thing, we sought to go to Penang in Malaysia, to celebrate with relatives out there, but we knew we sought to then move onto wherever moreover after that, the only thing was where?

The Caribbean or Africa were a no go as the charge to fly half way around the world and then back sequence again would have been monumental. Also the endure was a bit of a dilemma too. We tied the circle in early September, which ruled out the Maldives, Tahiti and Bali due to monsoon and raining seasons.

We had been to Thailand the year before so firm we hunted to try somewhere else. We eventually chose to defer in Malaysia, but more very, Sabah in Borneo.

Well known for pleasing beaches and tiny islands great for diving, Sabah is also well known for orangutans, and has a world famed primate rehabilitation horde at Sepilok, a fleeting trip from our lodge at Kota Kinabalu.

However, we discovered that the lodge we chose had a character store within the lodge reason that was affiliated with Sepilok, and took in baby orphaned Orangutans, preparing them for their next stage at Sepilok before eventually being released back into the squally.

The Shangri-La Rasa Ria decision is situated on Pantai Dalit Beach, a stunning stretch of seashore that is cozy and complete to the wealth. The hotel was fantastic, and deciding to handle ourselves to a continue in the Ocean Wing, the select wing with its own secretive team, breakfast and luxury rooms with sea views and giant soak tub on the lanai, was well appeal the bonus money.

The hotel had a great span of restaurants, and deciding to go half-embark was a good option. Half-board entitles you to breakfast and feast at the Coffee Terrace restaurant, or 100RM (about 17 quid) per role towards a meal in one of the other restaurants. This allowance sweet much roofed the full cost of a meal in the other restaurants, excepting for the foodie Coast restaurant which certainly is fijne dining at its best.

The culinary highlights for us banquet at Naan and Tepi Laut ‘Makan Street’.

Naan was, amusingly enough, and Indian restaurant and this grant pleasing restaurant served some of the best Indian food I have ever had, food which went rightly with the Malaysian area grow, Tiger Beer!

Tepi Laut ‘Makan Street’ was a normal Malaysian shape food risk, donation all the tastes that make Malaysian cooking so unique, with dishes from China, India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Each post open something different, and the vegetable class featured baskets of uncooked Chinese vegetables and sauces where people could put what they wanted on a plate with the sauces of their choice. The chef would then cursorily stir fry these while you pause.

Our favourite was the kangkong belacan, what is mostly ung choi fried in garlic and sambal (a powerful hot shrimp paste) with some red chillies – very hot but very succulent.

The unfeigned highlight for us was the orangutans. Each day, guests can make a donation to the preserve and trek a suddenly way into the jungle to a pair of viewing platforms to observe the baby orangutans feed. The experience is quite plainly amazing.

They are extremely cute and very nimble. Some shy, others mischievous it is fantastic to mind their humorous antics. We went twice to see them, the first time I packed my camera’s recall license of around 500 photos well before the hour ended and was frantically having to erase bad shots to take more.

How to plan my trip to Thailand for our honeymoon in November?

We are planning to go to Thailand for 2 weeks in November. I don’t know where to go, should we fly to Bangkok stay a night then go to Phuket? or go straight to Puhket?
We want to relax somewhere after so much we’ve been through for the wedding, I can say one full week of relaxing by a very nice beach and maybe the other week or less adventure, sightseeing or a combination of beach and adventure. People suggest so many things i’m confused. Malaysia and Singapore are close and many suggest going there too. I wanna know where in Thailand is better to stay consider all the facts I gave you. I want to have a nice mix of everything for this trip. Also where should we stay, some say it’s so cheap in Thailand and some say it’s so expensive, i’m so confused. PLEASE HELP as I need to book soon. Thanks!

I have stayed in Thailand many times and if you want to relax especially for a honeymoon i would stay first at phuket- if you do not want to go out at nights much you could stay in areas like kata or karon, however the place i would choose (the heart of phuket) would be patong beach, theyre are hundreds of amzing hotels and most have them have honeymoon suites.
In phuket they’re are many tours you and your wife could do like evening cruises, beach dinners etc. And patong beach is great to just lay back all day and buys a deck chair for around 80 baht (under $3 AUD) and people will walk up and dwn the beach and sell you cheap beer, drinks and food that are perfectly safe.
As for Bangkok you will need much more than a day as it is such a vibrant and busy city i would reccomend staying at least 4-5 days in bangkok but these would be extremely busy and jam packed if you really want to explore the ciy, the shopping is also a lot cheaper in bangkok.
As for hotels in phuket the hotels are really laid back and relaxed you can feel the beachy atmosphere however in Bangkok theyre are a lot more luxurious hotels so spa services etc are a lot better.

Choosing the Writing Style for your Invitation
The first important consideration in creating your invitation is to select the best writing style. There are three major options:

Third-Person Formal – Use this for formal dinners, fundraisers, balls, galas, black tie affairs, and formal weddings.

Semiformal – Use this for cocktail parties, dinner parties, big birthdays bashes, graduation invitations, bridal or baby showers, cool theme parties, and less formal weddings.

Handwritten Notes – A great choice for very intimate or casual affairs including small birthday dinners, back yard barbeques, mothers day get togethers and housewarming parties.

Composing the Right Wording for your Invitation
The right wording can make or break your invitation. It will also set the event’s tone and formality for your guests even before the event begins. Remember that your invitation is the first glimpse your guests will receive into the type affair you wish for it to be. Consider this:

Formal – On the invitation, the hostess usually “requests the honor of your presence”, followed by the day of the week, date and the month spelled out, and the time and the place (i.e. “Sunday, the first of January/ two thousand and ten/ at half after six o’clock/ Sundy House, Delray Beach, Florida”). Engraved or raised print is the best choice with the formal invitation, typically written in an antique typeface. Consider, though, that laser printing and the myriad of computer fonts now available makes the formal invitation even more affordable for those on a budget. If you wish to go with the engraving but find it a little too pricey, consider the more affordable raised-print option of Thermography.

Semiformal - Semiformal invitations do not have to adhere to the etiquette of a strict writing style. You may choose a variety of ways to create your invitation, from bordered, textured or patterned paper, and size of the paper can vary as well. Many brides and party planners are moving away from the traditional 5 x 7 style and going with fun square or tall shapes so their invitations stand out. When creating a semiformal invitation, incorporate the event’s theme to get guests on board and excited. Use ink and fonts that match the party’s theme and stationery such as pumpkins for a Halloween party, fireworks for July Fourth, engagement rings for a bridal shower, a baby stroller for the baby shower, grill utensils for a BBQ…you get the idea.

Handwritten – The most important elements with handwritten invitations are the stationery and the legibility of the lettering. Make sure to choose beautiful stationary that really stands out, and either write very neatly or hire someone with excellent penmanship to write the text you’ve chosen. A calligrapher is a great idea for a truly beautiful and unique handwritten invitation.

Make sure that the theme is something that enraptures both of your personalities.
Make sure that your wedding theme idea can coincide with decorations.
Make sure that your theme is not in poor taste. You most definitely do not want to insult or disgust your guests
Select Invitations for Your Themed Wedding:

Your wedding invitation should explain your wedding theme to your guests
Explain why you chose the theme to your guests
If you wish for guests to come arrive in ‘theme’ attire, this is the time to inform them
If you will be serving ‘theme foods’ inform guests in the invitation
Your wedding invitations should fit your wedding theme so there’s not any confusion
Provide contact information so you can clarify things if your guests are confused
Provide a map and written directions to the reception area so that your guests can find the location with ease.
Some Things to Consider About a Themed Wedding:

Etiquette shouldn’t be stressed, as a themed wedding is supposed to be relaxing and fun.
Many traditional rules (etiquette) that apply to traditional weddings should be disregarded as many modern themed weddings are non-traditional wedding, except in the case of the formal themed wedding.
Take the season and weather into consideration when planning your theme. It would be ridiculous to invite guests to a Beach Wedding party in January and request for them to wear bathing suit attire
Inform your vendors of your theme and any attire you may be asking guests to wear.
If you have a specific theme in mind, but you don’t know how to pull it off, hire a coordinator to handle it for you. As professionals, they know exactly how to make your themed wedding a success.
If your wedding theme is a specific ear, and you’re not sure how to decorate or dress, do some research. The internet and the public library are excellent research tools to help make your dream wedding theme become a wedding theme reality.

Ok need help deciding if this is too much, theme is summer/beach.?

Ok I have almost everything planned. The reception hotel provides candleoperas so I am not spending extra money on centerpieces.

–Your wedding sounds like it will be really nice. I like your ideas, including your wedding date (that’s my birthday)!!

–I don’t think it would be too much if you had both the cookies and the shell place cards.

–I f I had to choose one, I like the sugar cookie idea better because it matches you soon to be last name–very creative. I think the guests would respond to the cookies better, and it would definitely generate more buzz. It may be time consuming to do all of those place cards. Besides, most people will toss them quickly.

–How about putting the shells around the centerpieces, having napkins that are printed with a shell design folded around the utensils and already placed on the table, or put a shell on top of the place cards on the upper corner (instead of attached to it)? Just some quick thoughts that came to mind that might be less time consuming.

–Will the cookies have frosting using your wedding colors (i.e. one cookie bronze, one cookie creme, one cookie blue)?

So it is your big day. Every detail has been scrutinized. No stone left unturned. You’ve spent weeks, maybe even months, going over every single element of your wedding day from the cake, to the flowers and don’t even get me started on the dress. But don’t make the same mistake of thousands of brides each year and stop the planning at the wedding. Let’s face it. Your big day doesn’t end at the wedding ceremony. In fact, the second most important part of your wedding is the wedding night. And on the day when every woman wants to look her most beautiful, it is imperative that you don’t disappoint when the wedding dress comes off.  The wedding night is traditionally one of the most passionate nights of your life, so why wouldn’t you give your lingerie the same attention as the rest of your wedding details?  If you are a bride-to-be, don’t overlook the significance of Bridal Lingerie. Remember, the wedding day is for you, but the wedding night is often the most anticipated event for the groom.
