Beach Wedding Bouquets Ideas

My little sister just got engaged and needs wedding ideas!?

They want to get married outside, like on a beach or at a winery… somewhere on the East Coast where our family is located… Anywhere from SC, NC, VA and MD

Also, her favorite flower is gerber daisies and she wants that to be in her bouquet… what other flowers go well with them?

She has no idea what colors she wants… she’s a big pink fan, but thinks its too common nowadays… what about 2 colors?

And lastly, she has 7 college roommates that she couldn’t choose just some for bridesmaids and is worried her fiance won’t have enough groomsmen to compensate… what should she do?

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOU HELP!

outside weddings are nice! make sure if they are getting married outside, that the dress is appropriate. sand + a ball gown = big troubles!! also, i’m having red gerber daisies in my wedding in my bouquet, with no other flowers.. its gorgeous. have the florist add some accent jewels or sometihng if she feels thats not enough.

the time of year for the wedding plays a big part in the colors.. so it would depend on that. fall weddings look good with browns and darker yellows and oranges.. summer weddings = bright colors. winter weddings look good with dark reds and dark blues and spring time looks good with baby blues and pinks. and other soft colors.

as for the bridesmaids. i have 4 good girlfriends, and my fiance has 2 really good best friends. i chose to only have 2 girls, and its the two i feel the most comfortable with and have known the longest, and i told the other two i would like to include them but didnt want to make him feel awkward. they totally understood. if all else fails, th groom could use the brides male cousins, or brothers.

good luck! :-)

Destination and beach weddings tend to be very informal when compared to your traditional church or reception hall wedding. Despite this understood informality, many guests wonder what is or is not appropriate guest attire for a beach wedding.

If this is your first destination wedding, you can rest assured in knowing that the vibe of this type of wedding is naturally more laid back and fun. When a bride and groom invite you to spend four days and three nights with them in beautiful San Juan Puerto Rico – they want you to be comfortable when doing so. Even though destination weddings are considered informal, this does not mean that you should look like you are spending the day doing laundry. You can be dressy, without going overboard.

If you attend a lot of weddings, you probably have a closet full of tea length dresses, cocktail dresses and pants suits in dark or muted colors. Ditch the black and somber colors for this type of wedding. The beach is a fun place, the colors you wear should reflect that. Go for an all white linen outfit or knee length dress in bright summery pastel colors.

Your fabric choice is another important aspect of your destination wedding guest attire. You obviously want to avoid heavy fabrics due to the heat. Light airy fabrics such as linen, soft jersey knit, flowing silk and crisp cool cotton are the best options for beach weddings. Depending on the time of year, finding clothing in these fabrics may be difficult, you can always make your purchase online – which will likely save you a ton of money as well.

As for accessories, leave the heirloom jewelry at home. A simple pearl necklace and earrings is more than suitable. Complete your look with flat sandals or kitten heels; attempting to wear high heels in the sand is a sure fire way to sprain an ankle!

What type of jewelry should I wear?

My grandma wants me to wear her pearls and asked me a long time ago but my mom said if I am wearing peals then I should be wearing hers. So I think I am going to wear neither. I was thinking of doing no necklace with this dress. I can’t decide though. It IS a beach wedding and I am going to wear a tiara. Would you wear jewelry and if so what type? I was thinking maybe white mother of pearl something. I don’t want any fancy jewelry because the gown is already so dressy for the beach.

Thanks!
Yeah, I think pearls would be too much for the dress too. I think that’s why I almost want nothing at all. :-( Oh well.
I am going to wear my hair partially up with loose curls. I like the idea of a flower in my hair also instead of a veil. What do you think? I am leaning toward no necklace at all and just earings.

Your dress is beautiful! I would definitely steer clear of anything too big. I would be hesitant to wear anything at all, especially for a romantic yet simple beach wedding. Do you know how you are wearing your hair? How about a flower in your hair that matches your bouquet if you are having one?

what should groomsmen wear? wedding is next month we’re still undecided!?

we are having a very casual, small beach wedding a month from now. my bridesmaids will all wear little black dresses of different styles that come from their own closets. what is a good idea for the groomsmen to wear? i want them to be comfortable; my fiance says they should look semi classy. the groom is wearing a black tux.
the groom has already paid for his tux and i love it on him anyway so that is not an option. i’m just asking what would be good for groomsmen to wear, not how can i switch around the clothes we’ve already decided upon for the rest of the wedding party.

my brother had a tropical wedding in Illinois :) he went very simple with groomsmen wearing hawiian shirts and tan kaki shorts with polished black caccooi nut necklaces for the groomsmen
hope this helps, good luck and congrats!
