What kind of footwear is the best for a beach wedding..South Beach Miami to be exact…???

Definitely a sequined pair of flip-flops. You’ll have to take them off every half hour to remove the sand, so you’ll want something you can easily slip off and slip back on.

Sequins will give them a dressy look.

Check these out:

http://store.sweetsoiree.com/faseth.html

Or, if you don’t like sequins and beads on your flip-flops, go for flip-flops in gold or silver. Gold flip-flops with a small gold clutch will make any outfit look glamourous.

These gold flip-flops below are ideal because they’re classy, but they’ll also give you some height and you’ll get a minimum amount of sand because they’re high.

Plan a Beautiful Beach Wedding Along the Outer Banks

There is an advantage to having a beach backdrop for your dream wedding. For one, you don’t have to travel far to begin the honeymoon, as you are already in paradise! Also, there is a beautiful serenity associated with exchanging vows along a pristine shoreline with the calm waters as your witness and the tang of ocean breezes providing a relaxing atmosphere. Your guests will love the change in scenery, and you will enjoy the memories for years to come.

Nowhere will a dream wedding on the beach be more perfect than in the Currituck Outer Banks. The climate is wonderful year round, so there is seldom a worry about the weather being too hot or too cold for a particular date. As the Outer Banks peaks at various seasons, an early spring or fall wedding would prove beneficial to couples on a budget, and accommodations are much easier to find as well. If planning a wedding during the off season, however, it is best to contact potential caterers ahead of time to see if they will be in operation. Remember, a number of businesses will close once summer is over.

One bonus to getting married in the Currituck Outer Banks is that there is no waiting period involved after obtaining a Currituck County marriage license. If you are from another county, you also have the option of obtaining your license there and getting married at the beach. A nominal fee of fifty dollars will get you the license if you register in Currituck, which remains valid for sixty days following the issue date, and any ordained minister or officiate may perform your ceremony. The officiate need not a special license to perform the marriage in the state, either, so if you have somebody in mind who is from out of town, no extra measures are necessary.

Once the legalities are understood, now comes the fun part – planning the reception and honeymoon! The Currituck Outer Banks offers a number of beautiful, historical attractions that have become popular wedding destinations over the years. The Whalehead Club, once the resort home of Currituck’s elite, makes for a beautiful, elegant reception venue, while the sunny atmosphere of the Currituck Beach Lighthouse grounds offers a touch of whimsy to any nuptial celebration.

The Corolla Chapel, Currituck’s only year-round interdenominational church, has been the site of many of wedding and reception since its inception. If available, you may want to consider contacting any of the local vineyards for possible reception space. Moonrise Bay and Martin Vineyards of Knotts Island have hosted many a tasting over the years, and Martin Vineyards hosts the annual Peach Festival in July. Both wineries offer beautiful grounds and views of the ocean.

For an unforgettable wedding under the gentle North Carolina sun, consider the Currituck Outer Banks for your ceremony and reception. Create memories along the sandy shores and come back again, with the kids.

i have a question about a destination wedding?

ok we want to get married on a beach do you have to get the package most resorts offer? or can you do it on your own? or get the package and be able to add your own things also?

Either way. You can get the package deal from a resort (and some toss it in for FREE this way, or you can go with a wedding coordinator at the destination of your choice. Neither is necessarily better – depends on the location that you choose & the things that are important to you. I had a “vow renewal” in Kauai years ago & used a local officiant who did it for under $250 dollars – he was great & I am sure that we could not have bet the price anywhere on the island & gotten all the services we did – photos & cake & all.

Important Considerations for Beach Weddings

Beach weddings are commonly thought of as the most romantic weddings possible.  However, if you are considering having your wedding on a beach, here are some important considerations to keep in mind to help ensure your big day is pure romantic bliss and not an “America’s Funniest Home Videos” clip.

Is your wedding going to be right on the beach?   If so, the tide will be something you need to consider.  As romantic as the beach is, neither you nor your guests are probably thinking of getting married IN the water.  Having the tide come up as a guest into your wedding is only romantic if you planned it that way.  On the other hand, having the water half a mile away from you at low tide can make a beach wedding seem a lot less fun and a lot more sandy.  Planning your wedding time around the tides isn’t difficult to do, but it is important to set the right atmosphere and tone for your beach wedding day.

Since most beach weddings are an outdoor affair, having an alternate plan in case the weather turns unpleasant is another important factor.  Tents or umbrellas can be an easy way to relieve your worries about rain, or perhaps even having a substitute location in case the weather is really bad.  For indoor weddings, it’s nice to have a beautiful day, but not as vital.  When you are planning on spending the day outdoors, watching the skies becomes a necessity.  Are you planning on having many elderly people attend your wedding?  Accessibility to your wedding site could be an issue you need to think about.  For example, how will you get Grandpa Joe’s wheelchair onto the beach?  Informing your guests beforehand of the terrain so they can dress accordingly (i.e. no high-heels on the sand) will allow your guests to be comfortable at your wedding.  Thinking beforehand of the small details that make people feel welcomed will allow your wedding to be a huge success.

The photography is another consideration you should keep in mind.  Outdoor photography can be stunning, but it is completely different from indoor photography.  Make sure to let your prospective photographers know you are planning on a beach wedding and ask to see samples of their work done outdoors.

One of the advantages of having a beach wedding is the lack of “venue expense” as most beaches are public property.  The disadvantage to this is that you have no control over who else is sharing the space with you.  Having a plan of what to do in case of total strangers trying to attend your wedding is an important consideration for a public beach wedding.

What is the best place to scuba dive off waikiki?

I will be staying right off waikiki beach at the aqua palms and spa hotel. I will be there for about 4 days or so (Sunday – Wed.) I would love to dive (i have my dive license), but I don’t know the expense and if I could just rent and shore dive. Someone please help me out rental shops, best places to dive to see marine life, and prices, etc. I’m leaving this Sat (May 10). Thanks!

Shore diving off Waikiki sucks. I tried that last year.. and you dont really see that much IMHO. Waikiki diving (thats a company) is a good place to start. Think about 115 dollars for a 2 tank boat dive. Gear Rental extra. If you like wrecks, the Sea Tiger, is pretty new but nice, the YO 257, The San pedro, The Corsair airplane wreck, The Mahi, There are others but I liked those the best. HOWEVER! If you can, go over to the big Island on Kona and dive with the Mantas. Youll never be the same. It was awesome.Oh yeah, if youre not staying at the Hawaiian Village, GO! The penguins are awesome.. The food is 10X better than anywhere else.. And the crafts rule. Dont forget to go to The polynesian cultural center. and go to Matusmotos on the North Shore.. Its the best shaved Ice in the world.. Have a penny smashed with a surfer on it.. and DONT forget to to to the Swap meet. And be sure to eat some Musubi. Email me if you want more info.

What’s the approx. price range for a small wedding in Vancouver?

Excluding the dress, if I’m planning to have a small wedding at a public park or a beach, what do you think the approximate price range for that would be? I’m the first of my friends to get married so I just wanted to prepare myself the any financial concerns that may pop up. Thank you!

A beach/public park wedding is a nice and cheap alternative. I would expect with food, dress, and drinks anywhere from $500 – $1,000. It can be cheaper than that if it has to be. Davids Bridal has $99 dress sale. Have your friends/family bring bring and make food. A beach wedding is often free, and even a park rental area isn’t too much. Good luck and congrats!

Many photographers choose to use lots of strobes, lighting equipment. I see it all the time in Austin. I have even seen it outside and in the middle of the day. Although this technique is wildly used; I feel like lighting your subjects naturally using little or NO artifical lighting shows a more in-tune photograph overall. I have seen some wonderful pictures using extra lights and screens however for myself as an old school style photographer, I feel this is too much extra to get something you can obtain without wasting the extra energy of setting up and tearing down equipment. This saves time, money and possibly a rushed client.

My perferred way of doing natural lighting is to start off by working with what light of day you are in. Is it noon, dusk, dawn or night? All of these have wonderful effects on people’s faces, clothing etc. For example:

A bride to be in a white/off-white gown will not only give you natural extra softing light from the reflection of light that bounces off her dress but this will give photographers high key lighting that is sometimes hard to obtain and time consuming using strobes (setting up and tearing down). I have obtained this using natural window lighting inside and outside during dusk hours.

As far as Dawn/ Dusk lighting you can obtain soft orange glow lighting easily without using screens, filters, etc in the wake of using mother nature as your full light source. The sun creates some wonderful and colorful glows of orange, reds, purples, pinks and blues. I have used this in doing nature photographs and silloutes of people and places. Texas has some wonderful sunsets here and are always a great focal point of many nature photographers.

Night photography can be a little tricky and tough to say the least! However, if you use the lighting around you and full moons you can create some nite shots that are to say the least, take your breath away. One technique I have learned and use sometimes is a very very sloow shutter speed and wide open apature setting. Usually keeping your camera open for thirty seconds or more can create light writing, glowing in the moonlight as the waves of the beach come crashing to the shore and you can visibily see all this when the photo is done taking. Very interesting as with no or little lighting you can create fantasy night photos. If you have a bride/groom that is patient and trys this process of maybe dancing into a low lit scene and back out will have a wonderful ghosting image of them which looks like they are trapped in time.

Practing these techniques are a great way to naturally learn how to manipulate your camera and what it sees so that your creations can be one of a kind and have much more of a natural feeling rather than a standard well light photo you see all the time.

Have fun and try these at home today!

Can you recommend a wedding venue on the Texas gulf coast?

The ideal location would offer a secluded beach front ceremony site, a covered reception area and nearby lodging.

I found gulfshots.com/texas, but that brought up only a magazine called Gulfscapes. Maybe you can approach it by choosing a town first and then googling (town, state) weddings.

ETA: Try starfleetyachts.com. I’ve heard about these dinner cruises and they sound wonderful!

Mt Tamborine Mountain Weddings

Mountain Weddings On Australia’s Gold Coast The Gold Coast really is a beautiful place. Most people know it for its spectacular coastline, sun drenched beaches and world class surf. The Gold Coast ocean certainly is an ideal setting for a beach wedding with sun, sand, venues for the ceremony and reception and guest accommodation all closely tied together. The Gold Coast has an inner heart too though, known as the Gold Coast Hinterland. Mt Tamborine and the Lamington National park are famous destinations of our hinterland and they offer a spectacular mountain alternative for you to consider for your wedding. The views from the peaks are breathtaking, offering mountain ranges and countryside which run all the way to the coastline. From less lofty heights there are hidden valleys and gullies hiding spectacular waterfalls, crystal clear waterholes, beautiful flora and fauna all easily accessible by walking tracks. Surrounded by such amazing natural wonder, your wedding photos will be breathtaking. Your guests also will enjoy the crisp mountain air, every day of the year. During the colder months, the winter fog rolling in will delight them as they warm themselves around an open log fire. In summer they will welcome the cooler air, a relief from the tropical Queensland heat experienced on the coast and in Brisbane. Reception venues are many and varied from the small and intimate, to the large and grand. From winery settings, to churches, estates and wonderful country homesteads. There is an option available for every style of wedding. Given the amazing setting of the Mt Tamborine National Park though, you and your guests will probably want to stay a night or more and take the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful mountain hospitality on offer. If so, your accommodation options also require choice. If you want something small and cozy, one of the mountain villas could be an option, a perfectly luxurious option for the bride and groom. If pampering is on the cards. Try one of the relaxing retreats. This could be a great choice for the bride on the eve of her wedding. There are hotels and motels for groups of guests, homesteads and wineries all offering accommodation for people looking for something specific. Mt Tamborine really is a wonderful venue for a wedding. Have a look at what it offers, you won’t be disappointed.

Honeymoon tips for all inclusive honeymoon packages

Here are some Honeymoon tips to help you choose between all inclusive honeymoon packages. Arguably one of the most flexible options for all inclusive honeymoon packages is cruises. Your cruise option may offer several days at sea combined with 3-4 days at various ports or resorts. There are special romance packages especially for honeymoon couples, some with spa days, special treatment due to your newlywed status and even “extras” in your cabin such as champagne and roses.

There are many cruise lines to choose from depending on your preferences and required locations. It is important to remember that the transportation to your cruise ship is not always included even with all inclusive honeymoon packages. The excellent food and entertainment helps to deliver a relaxing atmosphere to make your cruise more enjoyable. There is probably something for everybody, such as spas, the casino, and evening cabaret, all this fun will make you happy to relax by the pool in the daytime, when you’re not in port.

Activities when in port are dependent on which cruise line you choose, so study all the available options. So the stress of the wedding is now over, it’s now time to enjoy your long awaited romantic all inclusive honeymoon package. Where you both, as a honeymoon couple, decide to venture depends on personal choice, but the most important aspect is that your honeymoon should have all the elements that you both find romantic, as well as leaving you with everlasting special memories. So when looking for honeymoon, packages consider the all inclusive packages that will help take most of the strain out of planning your wedding.

Choosing all inclusive honeymoon packages may save you both time and money, but many honeymoon couples are under the illusion that all inclusive resorts are only present in the Caribbean, which simply isn’t true. All inclusive honeymoon packages are offered in many locations all around the world, including, the United States.

Phuket offers all inclusive honeymoon packages and is one of Asia’s premier tourist locations and activities include everything from golf to cookery classes all within the beautiful scenery of Thailand. There are various other Asian based all inclusive resorts, located in Indonesia, Japan, and Malaysia.

Fiji Resort in Taveuni – If you’ve ever dreamed of staying on your own private island, Taveuni may offer the best honeymoon package for you.  Located in Fiji, an island to the east of New Zealand, this resort is so exclusive it is said that no more than seventeen couples are allowed on the resort island at any one time. You can pack a picnic lunch to enjoy on your very own secluded honeymoon beach. If you’re travelling from the west coast of the USA or Canada, Fiji is in fact closer than some islands in the Caribbean.

What are some cheap but very nice honeymoon places?

We’re looking for a place that is remotely private, but with plenty of things to do; such as restaurants, snorkeling, hiking, site seeing, or something! We want something that is tropical and wont kill our budget. We’ve looked at the Caribbean and Hawaii and those are our main interests but haven’t found anything that is really nice at an affordable rate. We would also like to have a long honeymoon so that is why the price is a big issue. I live in Ga. of the US. and he is currently in Japan but we will most likely be having the wedding on Virginia beach.

Hmm, since he lives in japan, I would have said Australia or New Zealand, because it is the most beautiful snorkeling and waterfront in Australia, and landscape in New Zealand. But South Carolina is a very beautiful place, especially the beach houses. There is plenty of beauty there at the beaches and (even though I am not a beach person) I spent all day relaxing and laying on the surf board in the sun because it is just so relaxing. Check here for state parks and stuff to do: http://www2.thingstodo.com/states/SC/index.htm . I like Folley and Myrtle beach in Charleston, though Folley beach houses are more affordable. I think this is the trip you were looking for :)

You want only the best! Be selective! Before you commit consider the following:

  • When visiting or calling, were you greeted cordially?
  • Were you able to obtain the information you requested in a timely manner?
  • Were the people you spoke with helpful? Too helpful and eager?

Now, check the internet for local wedding sites and go to their websites.

Where are good beach wedding locations in Northern California?

I’m getting married next September, my fiance and I are having a hard time finding a location for the ceremony (of roughly 150 people). We want somewhere grassy overlooking the beach in Northern California. We are leaning more toward state owned property, that we can get a permit for. The locations we have looked at so far that are restaurants/golf clubs are far too pricey for us. If anyone has any ideas I’d love to hear them, I’m getting desperate!!! Thank you!

There is this place in Jennar (off of Hwy 1) it has a grassy area on a cliff overlooking the ocean. It is a bed and breakfast and just gorgeous! I honeymooned there. If you want, i could e-mail you a picture of it!

There is also a lighthouse down HWY 1 that is gorgeous and has everything you describe also in what you want.

Also, Bodega Bay is a great place, it is beautiful in that area in general.

Good Luck and e-mail me if you want those pictures or the name of the lighthouse, i would have to look up the name.

EDIT: Did you get the pictures? What did you think?
